Why Amorales

Why Homeowners Pick Us for Landscaping

01

Set Schedule, No Chasing

Maintenance runs on an agreed schedule, so you are not calling to ask when the crew is coming out again this month.

02

Lawn and Beds Together

Mowing, mulch, edging, and planting come from one company, so the whole yard matches instead of looking patched together over time.

03

Free Estimate, Clear Price

Both the visit and the estimate cost nothing, and the price is agreed before the first day of work on your property.

How It Works

How a Landscaping Job Runs

  1. 01

    Walk the Property

We walk the yard with you, note the problem areas, and measure the lawn and the bed space.

  2. 02

    Pick the Plan

You choose one time work or a recurring schedule, and we price both options so you can compare.

  3. 03

    Set the Start Date

The crew is scheduled, and you know the day and the time window before the work day begins.

  4. 04

    Walk It Again

When the job ends, we walk the property with you and fix anything that was missed that day.

Season Guide

Landscaping by Season in Connecticut

Every season needs different work. Here is the year at a glance so you know what to expect and when to plan for it.

Spring

Cleanup of winter debris, the first mow of the year, bed edging, and fresh mulch before real growth starts up.

Summer

Weekly mowing, hedge trimming, and weed control in the beds, plus watering guidance for new sod and plantings all summer.

Fall

Overseeding, leaf removal, final mows, and the last round of planting while the soil is still warm enough to work.

Winter

Bed protection, winter pruning of dormant shrubs, and planning the spring work early, before the whole schedule fills up completely.

Landscaping Questions We Get a Lot

Straight answers about mowing schedules, mulch, sod, and how we handle one time jobs.

How often should my lawn be mowed in Connecticut?

Weekly through the peak of spring and summer, when grass grows fast. Once things slow down in late summer, every other week is usually enough. We'll set the interval when we see the lawn and how it's actually growing there.

Do you do one time jobs or only recurring service?

Both. Plenty of jobs are one time work, like a spring cleanup or a mulch install. Others run on a schedule all season. Tell us which one you want when we walk the property, and we'll price it that way.

How much mulch does a bed actually need?

Two to three inches deep is the sweet spot. Thinner than that and weeds push through by July. Thicker than that and water has trouble reaching the roots. We'll measure the bed area and figure the exact yardage from there.

Is sod better than seed?

Depends on how fast you need it. Sod gives you a finished lawn the day it goes down, but it costs more. Seed is cheaper and roots deeper over time, though you're looking at a full season of waiting.

Do I need to be home when the crew comes?

Not for routine work like mowing or mulch. Someone should be around for the first estimate visit, since that's when we go over what you want. After that, the crew can work while you're at work for the whole day.
